Checklists are ‘stored wisdom’ aimed at helping a Checker in SQC to interpret the Rules and explain their application so as to help the Checkers find Major-Defects (Rule-Violations).

A ‘Checklist’ for SQC usually takes the form of a list of questions. All Checklist questions are derived directly and explicitly from cross-referenced Specification-Rules. Checklists are used to increase Effectiveness at finding Major-Defects in a specification.
