The elements of a hierarchy can be organized by some classification into distinct Levels, where there is a relationship between the Levels. Either the higher Levels have some kind of Authority or control over Lower-Levels, or decomposition occurs down the hierarchy (the higher-Levels can be broken down into their lower-Level sub-components).
