Notes
1. Templates are one method for transmitting knowledge and culture through time and space. They are collections of knowledge.
2. An alternative way to describe a template is as a “form”. A template is usually for a specific Document Type or purpose. However, a template is intended as a list of ideas, or a pattern for similar specification. A form is something intended for direct data collection. It is fixed in format and appearance.
3. There is a use of the term “template” as a kind of a computer form, which is filled out on a screen.
