Examples

A Specification-Meeting Sub-Process has a variety of purposes including initial reporting of individual Checking results and analysis, reporting information for the specification owner, such as Issues, Process-Improvement-Suggestions, and “questions of intent” to the Author/writer and additional Checking. An Editor-Advice-Log is produced as written output.

A Specification-Meeting also serves to motivate, train, stimulate, inform and to avoid duplication of reporting. It can be used to continue to find Major Issues in the Documents, in addition to those discovered in individual Checking by Checkers. It has a speed and flavor of “brainstorming” rather than finality.

The meeting duration and Content are determined by a quick initial analysis of Checking data from individual Checkers, reported at the beginning of the meeting. At one extreme the Checking data analysis can establish that there is no point in continuing the Specification-Meeting.
