English Master: Explicit Parameters
Synonyms, Variations & Acronyms: none
The “Scale” is an explicit Generic Planguage Parameter. “Fault” is another explicit Parameter, project defined (see *377 Generic Term for example of definition), for the Generic term “Fault” (identified in the “Scale” specification).
The alternatives to “explicit Parameter use” would be:
• defining a Parameter by “default” (Default Value *447) or
• using “sequence of definition” (1st, 2nd, 3rd), see Scale-Qualifier: Concept *381 and Scale Variable *446, or
• simply by recognizing the Parameter as having a unique definition (“Show Stopper”, example above, defined once) and belonging to a particular Generic term (like “Fault”).
Explicit Parameters are a device for making specification more obvious to the reader.
