Figure *252:
Example of use of Generic Attribute icons. The left-most “|” icon is the symbolic exact “0% of impact” Past point, our chosen Benchmark. The arrow symbol is itself a bit vague as to borders, even though Planguage specifies the tip of the arrow as the precise border. The “|” icon between Design A and Design B symbolizes the extent of Impact of Design A on this Attribute. The next “|” is the extent of Design B Impact. The final “|” is the exact extent of a Goal Requirement (our chosen Target), “100%” in Value-Decision terms. It helps symbolize that an “unknown design” might contribute more than the Goal Level Requirement for this Attribute.

Examples

Example:
O---- |~lt~-- >>|--------> The Past Level (~lt~-) and the Tolerable-Limit (->>) are embellished with the Generic-Attribute-Level-Icon (--|--), in order to emphasize the idea of the exact Level, graphically.

3. The icon can also be used to represent an Attribute Level reached by a Design-Idea.

Notes

•It is the Generic-Attribute-Level-Icon (--|--), and/or the tip of the outermost arrow, in target and Benchmark icons.

•If desired, the Generic-Attribute-Level-Icon can be used, in addition to arrow tips (->|), to make this point more intuitively clear to a reader of the diagram.
