1. This probability should be based on Past data concerning ability to remove Defects. For example, IBM reported a 5/6 “Fix-Probability” for Defects found by Inspection (SQC) in Software-Engineering Documents <- [M. Fagan, IEEE Transactions on Software-Engineering. Vol. SE-12, No. 7, July 1986].
2. Higher than 82% Fix-Probability has been recorded at NASA and IBM [(IBMSJ-1-94, Kan]. Under the Condition that rigorous Quality-Control of the each fix is carried out. The Level is closer to ~99.9%.
